Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, distressing life experiences, and deeply rooted emotional patterns. Rather than focusing only on talking through painful memories, EMDR helps the brain reprocess them, so they no longer feel overwhelming or intrusive.

Many people come to EMDR feeling stuck – replaying memories, reacting strongly to triggers, or carrying beliefs about themselves that no longer serve them. EMDR works by activating the brain’s natural healing ability, allowing difficult experiences to be processed and stored in a healthier way.

What EMDR Can Help With – EMDR therapy can be effective for a wide range of concerns,
including:

  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Anxiety and panic
  • Depression
  • Childhood or relational trauma
  • Grief and loss
  • Performance anxiety or phobias
  • Negative self-beliefs (e.g., “I’m not good enough,” “I’m not safe”)

What to Expect – EMDR therapy follows a structured, client-centered approach. Together, we
will:

      • Identify experiences that continue to impact your emotional well-being
      • Build coping skills and emotional safety before processing begins
      • Use bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help your brain reprocess
      • memories
      • Move at a pace that feels safe and respectful of your boundaries

You remain fully present and in control throughout the process.

Why EMDR?

Unlike traditional talk therapy alone, EMDR does not require you to relive traumatic experiences in detail or repeatedly describe them. Many clients report relief in fewer sessions and notice lasting changes in how they feel, think, and respond to situations.

A Compassionate, Collaborative Approach

EMDR is not about erasing memories; it’s about helping them lose their emotional charge. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space while guiding the process with care, clarity, and respect for your individual experience.

If you’re ready to move forward without being held back by the past, EMDR therapy may be a meaningful next step.
